(2018): The Academy’s core concept and pedagogical approach were established by filmmaker Erol Mintaş in 2018, in Stockholm.
Developed in collaboration with Botyrka Konsthall in Stockholm, with the support of the Swedish Institute’s Seed Funding.

(2018): The Academy’s moving concept and pedagogical approach were tested with a “test workshop” in 2018, in Helsinki, directed by filmmaker Erol Mintaş where the first group of lecturers, participants, and other team members formed. The workshop was supported by Goethe-Institut Finnland.

(2019-2022): The Academy’s concept and pedagogical approach were fully launched in Helsinki, in 2019.
The Academy is supported by the Kone Foundation for 2019-2022.

(2023): At the moment we are testing the Academy’s moving concept and pedagogical approach in Germany with piloting AMPI-Germany in Dresden & Leipzig, directed by filmmaker Erol Mintaş where the first group of lecturers, participants, and other team members formed for AMPI-Germany. The pilot of AMPI-Germany is supported by Goethe-Institut Dresden.
